What is conveyancing?
Conveyancing is the legal process of transferring property ownership from one person to another. In the UK, it typically involves the preparation and exchange of contracts, and the transfer of funds to complete the sale.
The process is carried out by a conveyancer or solicitor, who ensures that all legal requirements are met and that the transfer of ownership is properly documented. The conveyancer is responsible for conducting various searches and enquiries, such as checking the property's title, and ensuring that there are no outstanding mortgages or other legal issues that could affect the sale.
The goal of conveyancing is to ensure that the transfer of ownership is legally binding and that the new owner has a clear title to the property.
How much does conveyancing cost?
The cost of conveyancing can vary widely depending on various factors such as the transaction's complexity, the property's location, and the experience and reputation of the conveyancer or solicitor.

Our team in Sheffield is supervised and managed by Mohammed Nazir who is qualified Solicitor with experience well over 19 years in conveyancing. We also have number of assistants who are training to be qualified Licensed Conveyancer.

On average, our basic conveyancing fees can range from £850 + VAT to £1,320 + VAT plus disbursements (out-of-pocket expenses such as search fees and stamp duty).

Our legal fees include legal fees, identity checks, banking administration, pre-completion HM Land Registry searches and bankruptcy searches.
Searches Pack: £335.00
Our recommended searches pack includes the relevant local authority searches, water and drainage searches, environmental searches including floor risk, and coal mining searches.
Disbursements: £164.40
This includes a telegraphic transfer fee (CHAPS) and the HM Land Registry registration fee.
